Cyprus takes over the EU Presidency with the motto ‘An Autonomous Union. Open to the World’

Horizon Europe 2026–2027: new EU funding opportunities for drug-related research

The European Commission has published the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for 2026–2027, confirming EUR 14 billion in EU investment to support research and innovation across Europe over the next two years. EU Drugs Agency welcomes its new Executive Director, Dr Lorraine Nolan

This week, the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) welcomes its new Executive Director Dr Lorraine Nolan (Ireland), as she begins a five-year term leading the agency. Dr Nolan was elected to the position by the EUDA Management Board in June 2025, following a competitive public recruitment process launched in September 2024.
