Two bursaries covering the registration fee for the 2023 European Drugs Summer School (EDSS) are currently being offered through the EMCDDA’s partnership with the COPOLAD III programme. Professionals, academics or experts from Latin American and Caribbean countries (LAC) are encouraged to apply (1). 20.02.2023 

A working arrangement was signed this morning in Madrid between FIIAPP/Spanish Cooperation and the EMCDDA in order to train and update the knowledge and experience of experts responsible for recording and analysing data on addictions. FIIAPP and the EMCDDA already work together on drug policy monitoring in Latin America and the Caribbean. 14.02.2023

(07.02.2023) European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson is visiting the Port of Antwerp today, following the continued rise in the quantity of cocaine seized at the port. The Commissioner will be accompanied by Belgian Minister of the Interior Annelies Verlinden, EMCDDA Director Alexis Goosdeel and Europol Executive Director Catherine De Bolle. In recent years, Belgium has become the country seizing the largest quantities of cocaine in the EU. 06.02.2023
