Prague, 26.02.2024: As part of the technical notification process, the Ministry of Health received approval from the European Commission, which approved the inclusion of HHC, HHC-O and THCP in the list of addictive substances for the Czech Republic. The regulation adding these substances to the list has been signed by the Minister of Health and sent to the Prime Minister for signature.

This temporary inclusion of the substances Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC), Hexahydrocannabinol-O-acetate (HHC-O) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THCP) on the list of addictive substances was approved by the Government by Government Regulation No. 463/2013 Coll. on 14 February this year. The entry into force of the new legislation is set for the day following its publication in the Collection of Laws and is expected in early March 2024.

In order to prevent unlawful activity, the Department of Health appeals to the public that the substances in question be disposed of in an ecologically safe manner as hazardous waste prior to the effective date of this regulation.
