Prague, 5. 12. 2025 The Drug Policy Department of the Government Office of the Czech Republic organised a roundtable discussion with experts, state administration representatives, school representatives and non-profit sector representatives, focusing on the protection of children and adolescents in the digital environment. The key theme was the regulation of mobile phone use in schools, which was identified as an important issue requiring a balanced and rational approach.

The results of the 2024 European School Survey Project on Alcohol and other Drugs (ESPAD) are released today in an extensive new report analysing adolescent substance use behaviours across Europe. The report — expanding on the key findings published in May 2025 — portrays a generation ‘in profound transition’.
