Prague, 20 March 2025 - The Government Council for Addiction Policy Coordination has approved the Report on Alcohol in the Czech Republic 2024 and the Report on Problematic Use of Psychoactive Medicines in the Czech Republic 2024, which provide new data in this field.

Prague, 7 November 2024 - One third of adults in the Czech Republic have used cannabis substances at least once in their lives; nearly 1 million people used them last year. 47 000 people use illegal drugs at risk. Thanks to the interventions of addiction services, the incidence of consequences of illicit drug use in the Czech Republic is low, even in the European context. However, the network of addiction services needs further development.
