EU Drugs Agency welcomes its new Executive Director, Dr Lorraine Nolan

This week, the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) welcomes its new Executive Director Dr Lorraine Nolan (Ireland), as she begins a five-year term leading the agency. Dr Nolan was elected to the position by the EUDA Management Board in June 2025, following a competitive public recruitment process launched in September 2024. Dr Nolan brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience across science, public service and regulatory affairs, including 10 years as Chief Executive of Ireland’s Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA).
