Advisory Board for Drug Data Collection

The Advisory Board for Drug Data Collection is a permanent body of the Government Council for Drug Policy Coordination (“CGDPC”) in charge of the solution of issues in the area of use of illegal drugs and their effects.

  1. The Advisory Board is an advisory body of the CGDPC comprised of experts in the area of monitoring of incidence, prevention and treatment of addictive diseases and in associated areas.
  2. The Advisory Board in particular
  • prepares for the CGDPC conceptional groundwork documents, proposals, expert opinions, expert reports and recommendations in issues relating to the monitoring of situation in the area of use of illegal drugs, monitoring of effect of drug policy interventions; considers suggestions and objections related to the activities of the National Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction;
  • considers the research plan of the National Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction for the following year and evaluates its results in the previous year;
  • supervises the use of scientific methods in the preparation of the Annual Report on the current status of drug-related matters in the Czech Republic and sees to it that its content is structured in compliance with EMCDDA (European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction) requirements.
